I launched my first side hustle at age 13 and what I didn’t realize back then was that it would serve as the catalyst for the series of side hustles to come. In 2013 I went from working my nice paying corporate America job to operating my newly launched nonprofit full time. Guess what? I didn’t earn a salary from my nonprofit for TWO YEARS.

So what kept me going? Side hustles!

Side hustles paid my bills and then some, and as I continued to earn thousands of dollars a month it became more clear having multiple sources of income was going to give me the freedom I desired. It’s been over 15 years since I launched my first side hustle, and unlocking a monetizable skill is a gift I wish more people talked about.
